The Last Day of our Roman Holiday

Hello ~ I’m Scott and welcome to your 5-minute vacation for March 23rd. This is the penultimate postcard about our Roman Holiday. I’ve been trying something different with this series (the explanation is here). I appreciate you inviting me into your inbox today.
We fly back tomorrow.
We spent our last day hanging out in Trastevere and Janiculum Hill, lingering on the Hill to catch the lovely sunset. We bought groceries for a spaghetti bolognese dinner on our way back to the apartment. For fun, we checked out what was on TV to go with dinner. We stumbled upon an episode of Colombo. In English. It was the one with Mickey Spillane.
We’ve enjoyed being able to walk to all the historic spots and then walk back another day to revisit them. I’m doubly glad for all the walking because that’s helped burn off those pesky extra calories from all the pasta and gelato I’ve enjoyed.
I’m sad to leave but happy to be going home.
