The largest wooden structure in the world

Hello, friend ~
It’s been a beautiful weekend ~ sunny, mild and no wind. The local farmers’ market was packed with vendors and customers (and beautiful produce as in the photo above). The nearby cafés were busy with folks drinking coffee and the occasional half-full wine glass was seen. Many were heading home with fresh flowers.
And many were heading home with the jumbo-sized package of toilet paper.
These are indeed strange days. People are going about their business as usual and you wouldn’t know anything was different ~ if it weren’t for the empty shelves in the stores where the TP is usually found. Which is kinda weird, because both the CDC and the WHO don’t include symptoms that require this product.
We’ve done our best to stock up without overdoing it. Rosemary’s office has scheduled a “work from home” day to test things. I already work from home, so that’s nothing new for me. The German government has banned large gatherings (sports) and has closed schools beginning Monday, but nothing else. In fact, if it weren’t for the news, things would seem normal.
And maybe that contradiction is helping to cause this feeling of strangeness. Things seem normal but we feel like we’re just waiting for the other shoe to drop. We’re agreed that, for now, the best thing to do is to carry on. And wash our hands more frequently :)
So, in that spirit, here’s a new photo story from our recent trip to Córdoba and Seville.
Seville boasts the largest wooden structure in the world and it fascinated me. For today’s post, I’m sharing a few photos of this wonderful structure. In the next couple of weeks I’ll share photos and stories from the rest of our time in those two cities (including food, of course!), but for today, let’s visit a really big “mushroom”:
Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
