Did you know Hungary had yummy wines?

The Danube at Budapest
Hello, friend ~
Rosemary had some custom work done to her backpack this week. I know, that’s not very interesting.
The interesting part is that the leather shop is about three blocks from where we live.
We live next to a large business district that is pedestrian-only. In addition to the leather shop, there are grocery stores, produce stores, flower shops, pharmacies, jewelry stores, many shoe stores, clothing stores, a book store, department stores and tons of restaurants. Some are big brands, some are not. But here’s the thing:
I had forgotten that shopping could be fun.
Sure, there are huge malls here and Amazon delivers in two days. But strolling along a car-free avenue with an eclectic mix of shops ~ produce store next to a clothing store next to a restaurant ~ is a pleasant experience. And that surprised me, as I had long ago vowed to avoid big malls and to let Amazon bring everything to me.
Anyway, I'm sharing this small realization because it was an unexpected part of this adventure we're on.

We’re feeling fairly settled in now, so I’ve been catching up on the travel stories I’ve wanted to share. Today, I’m sharing a few photos from our trip to Budapest:
